Thanksgiving Break
Over Thanksgiving break I did a lot of working and not a lot of school work which gave me somethings to catch up on. I really need to work on getting back into the mindset to study because I have multiple exams coming up soon.
As, for my actual break, I worked at the restaurant and the Nursing home a bunch which was pretty good, people seem to be not as rude closer to the Holidays. I worked my first midnight shift at the nursing home and actually loved it, I usually work 6am-2pm shifts but I think I might be switching over to Midnights.
On Thanksgiving my family got together around 2:30 to eat which was nice because my boyfriend could join us and I could go to his later in the day. The Holidays are pretty hard for us this year though because it's our family's first year without my Grandma who we lost in August, and it's the first year we are without both my grandparents because we lost Poppy ( my grandpa) in November last year, right before Thanksgiving. So each year our family is getting a bit smaller and it doesn't go unnoticed. But it's life and it happens to everyone. So Thanksgiving was a pretty good day. My boyfriend is originally from Chicago so we traveled up there for his family party and I got lightly laughed at because I didn't know you couldn't park in an alleyway, I also didn't know people use them like little streets... goes to show how much of a small town girl I am.
On Saturday Ryan's family and I went to a tree farm to pick out a perfect Christmas Tree and I ended up picking out the best tree. It was my first time at a tree farm so it was super exciting for me, it was like a pumpkin patch or apple orchard but with trees.
